Summary ESSENTIAL DUTIES Perform all functions necessary to sell our products and services at or above the profitability guidelines established. Continually prospect for new customers and new business using phone, mail, personal contact, referrals, and all other means available to you. Regularly and consistently follow up with all your prospects and customers per organization / departmental guidelines using telephone, mail, personal contact, and other means available to you. This specifically includes regular andsystematic follow up with those who have purchased vehicles from you/us regularly and continuously after they have taken delivery. Continually maintain and upgrade your product knowledge of the products and services you/we sell and of competitive products and services. Together with management, set annual, monthly, weekly, and daily results oriented goals/objectives. Develop and work action plans that achieve those goals/objectives. Assist in the creation and implementation of effective marketing strategies, advertising and promotions to increase sales and profits. Assist in customer relations and in ensuring we maintain the highest attainable levels of Customer Satisfaction. Assist in establishing reasonable and competitive prices for our products and services, and in keeping all order books, price books, price lists, catalogs, and other sales materials, forms, brochures, etc., up-to-date, accurate, distributed and stocked. Assist in ensuring that all manufacturer/supplier programs, warranties, etc., are followed and that required records are kept. Ensure our sales areas, both inside the buildings and outside, present a clean, neat, and professional image. Assist in the collection of past due customer accounts as requested. Use and keep up-to-date accurate records, files, forms, etc. Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned from time to time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A. JOB PROFILE A Vehicle Salesperson is responsible to serve as the organizations representative in all activities connected with the sales of new and used vehicle, and related products and services to our customers. Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, ability to manage and organize time and activities, professional appearance. Prior experience and/or training in vehicle or big ticket item sales preferred. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: VALID DRIVERS LICENSE Current Colorado Sales license. Valid Drivers License PHYSICAL DEMANDS N/A. WORK ENVIRONMENT Perform duties in all weather conditions. Observe all policies and guidelines as set forth by Ralph Schomp Automotive. Attentive to customer needs and responsive to customer inquiries where appropriate. Maintains clean and orderly work area.

To assist the BMW Sales department with the delivery and explanation of the customers new vehicle.

Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Duties: *Thoroughly explain and present all accessories available for a specific model of vehicle. *Walk customers around accessorized showroom cars to visually demonstrate options. *Sell accessories and maintain a minimum standard of performance in this area. *Assist in scheduling appointments with the service department for accessory installation. *Assist in installing over-the-counter sold accessories. *Schedule appointments with individual Client Advisors and customers for expert and thorough delivery service. *Perform regimented, expert and thorough delivery service to our customers. *Provide high levels of enthusiasm for the product and the process. *Keep customers engaged in the delivery through knowledge and enthusiasm. *Follow-up with customers in regards to their cars and any accessories added. *Follow-up with customers that showed interest in accessories or other services, but did not buy at the time of delivery. *Continually maintain and upgrade your knowledge and abilities to demonstrate every option on each vehicle offered. *Assist in customer relations and in ensuring we maintain the highest attainable levels of Customer Satisfaction. *Ensure utilized areas both inside the buildings and outside present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. *Use and keep up-to-date accurate files, forms, etc

BMW Group announces support for iPod Out

"iPod Out" was one of the new iOS 4 APIs mentioned at Apple's preview event back in April, but no one quite knew what it was meant for?until last week, when BMW Group announced that it had integrated iPod Out into its newest BMW and Mini vehicle entertainment systems.

So what is iPod Out? From BMW Group's press photos and description, the API allows car manufacturers to integrate the iPod Classic OS look and controls into a vehicle?s on-board entertainment system. Owners of future BMW and Mini models will be able to control their iPod or iPhone fully from the car?s interface controls. In addition, users will have access to their device?s Genius feature and be able to make custom playlists.

BMW Group seems all too happy to use this API, stating that "future vehicles equipped with this technology will be able to adapt more quickly to the software lifecycles of iPod touch and iPhone" (Here's hoping this will mean the end of terrible custom iPod music UIs and messages like "iPod/iPhone not supported" when you plug in your newest iOS device.)

BMW Group hasn't outlined any specific timeline for integration, but notes that support will be coming to future BMW models using BMW ConnectedDrive and Mini models using Mini Connected. Customers who wish to use the iPod Out feature in new BMW Group cars need to have an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 4.0 or later.
