I made an appointment, test drove 2 new 3 series and even looked at used, Steven was friendly and not pushy, ran numbers for me and tried to get the car within my monthly payment. He treated me with respect even though I wasn't a millionaire.

2014 BMW X4 Confirmed by CEO

Bmw17
Just the Facts:

  • The 2014 BMW X4 is seen as a companion to the X3 and a smaller sibling of the sporty X6.
  • The new X4 may be assembled at BMW's South Carolina plant.
  • The X4 will share powertrains with the X3, including a range of four- and six-cylinder gas and diesel engines.

MUNICH — BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer has confirmed the automaker will build the long-rumored X4. Due in 2014, the new X4 is seen in Europe as a competitor to the 2013 Porsche Cajun and is being positioned by BMW as a companion to the X3 and a smaller sibling of the sporty X6.

European reports say the X4 is likely to be assembled at BMW's South Carolina plant. It will share powertrains with the X3, including a range of four- and six-cylinder gas and diesel engines.

In an interview with Germany's Auto Motor und Sport, Reithofer said, "Yes, we have positioned above the X3 a BMW X4." Reithofer said the new model would be roughly the same size as the X3. The magazine said the X4 will feature BMW's xDrive four-wheel drive, automatic start-stop, head-up display and voice control.

As shown in the artist's rendering, the X4 is expected to get the same "four-door coupe SUV" styling as the X6.

BMW also plans a full-blown X4 M performance edition, with twin-turbo straight-6 and seven-speed DCT from the company's M division.

Inside Line says: It will be a winner.

Have a look at BMW at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2011

We here at Schomp BMW are grateful of the latest 5 Star Reviews on DealerRater. Great job to Wilson Todd and Len Birnbaum for their excellent service as detailed in the reviews.

Reason for Visit: Sales (Used)

I recommend this dealer: Yes

Employee(s) Dealt With: Wilson Todd

My Review of Schomp BMW:
My wife (Melissa) bought a 2002 530i from Schomp BMW through Wilson Todd Saturday evening (9/17). We had come to see a 325cic but it had already moved on. We drove a 325 and the 530 and the 530 was the best fit for us. We had never purchased from Schomp before and were not familiar with their "one" policy. Schomp BMW sales policy is simply fantastic. But furthermore, Wilson made the experience unbelievable - He explained everything about the cars we were looking at; he listened to our wants/needs; he stayed more than 2 hours after closing to complete our sale! I can't say enough good things about Wilson (and the whole experience). We are sold on Schomp and Wilson Todd.

Thanks so much.

Frankfurt 2011: 2012 BMW M5 is “A Lot of Fun”

Bmw16
By now the 2012 BMW M5 is old news, but we still loved seeing the electric-blue sedan at BMW’s press conference in Frankfurt. Although our lust for the car stems from that fact that it packs a twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V-8, BMW executives today stressed the M5′s more rational sides.

BMW board member Klaus Draeger set the tone for the M5′s arrival by describing it as, “Ready for everyday use but with the character of a true sports car.” Draeger continued to point out that the new M5 is about 30 percent more fuel-efficient than the outgoing car, even though the 2012 model makes about 10 percent more power (555 hp, 550 lb-ft of torque for American models). The M5 was even parked alongside BMW’s futuristic eco concepts, the i3 electric car and the i8 plug-in hybrid

Fortunately, all is not lost in the name of economy: “M cars are designed to be fun,” Draeger said, “And I guarantee, the new BMW M5 is a lot of fun.”

As is to prove that point of, the M5 was driven left the stage in a hurry, the exhaust growling and barking as the car accelerated into the recesses of BMW’s stage. We know the new M5 looks good and sounds good — now we just need to get some time behind the wheel.
